Q

The dress code simply requires that all guests look absolutely dazzling which we know you will. Men will be asked to sport tuxedos or dark suites. As for the ladies, you know what to do! Click here to see the mood board that we put together for inspiration!

What is the dress code?

We are heading to the courthouse the morning of the 12/20/25 to sign our marriage license with our immediate family, however, there will be NO ceremony held on this day. We are having an intimate wedding ceremony in Spain on 5/25/26. We acknowledge that Spain is pretty far and 2026 is even farther! For this reason, we will be hosting a local celebration with drinks, small bites, and dancing in Chicago on 12/20/25!

Will there be a church ceremony on December 20th?

The venue is 21 and  up which is why this will be an adults only event. The only exception will be James (the bride's brand new baby nephew.) He can't quit reach the bar just yet and we suspect he may need to call it an early night!

are children allowed?

04

We are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

can i bring a plus one?

03

Yes. However, we recommend Uber/ Lyft if for your convenience. If you decide to drive, valet will be available. More information regarding this to come. Stay tuned.

Will there be valet?

Chicago's downtown area has many hotels that are within close proximity to the venue! We have listed a few of the closest recommendations below. We recommend booking ASAP due to rate increases and limited availability that comes along with the holiday season.

Luxury: The Langham Chicago (330 N Wabash) or Trump International Hotel Chicago (401 N Wabash)

Upscale: Residence in by Marriot Chicago Downtown/River North (410 N Dearborn St)

Budget: SpringHill Suites by Marriot Chicago Downtown/ River North (410 N Dearborn St)

1.) Lou Malnati's Pizzeria for classic Chicago deep dish

2.) Dinner at any of the Hogsalt restaurants; Ciccio Mio, Bavette's, Gilt Bar and Armitage Alehouse. Reservations are tricky and typically open 14 days in advance so it's necessary to plan ahead!

3.) Christkindlmarket at Daley Plaza (free admission)

4.) Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Company (2121 N Clark). Order the Mediterranean Bread, the Chef's Salad and Pizza Pot Pie. The best cozy and historic spot for comfort food on a cold day. Reserve ahead. CASH ONLY.

5.) Portillo's! Sam's favorite - Dipped Italian Beef Sandwhich + Cheese Fries. Alexis' favorite is the Chocolate Cake Shake. Good place for a hot dog, as well.

6.) Chicago Athletic Association Hotel lobby & game room for a drink and game of darts. Feels like you're on the set of Harry Potter.

7.) Firecakes Donuts (Rivern North) Do-Rite Donuts (Lakeview) & coffee of course!

8.) London House Rooftop for a cocktail and one of the best views of downtown

9.) Mindy's Bakery (Try the Banana Cream Pudding)

10.) The Green Door Tavern (P.S if you sneak into the back and go down the stairs you'll find a speakeasy called The Drifter.)
